  16. John, according to Chuck Baker on the NewTek BBS the Flyer does render 24
  17. bits - not Ham 8 when using the Med. Res Preview. LW just sends the frames as
  18. 24 bit to the Switcher software which then records them to the drive. LW says
  19. that it is Ham 8, only because it has not been updated yet. The Anim previews
  20. always used hooks in the Switcher software and it has been updated to save 24
  21. bit to VTASC on Flyer drives.

  26. You don't need TPaint to do it, Lightwave will do it also. This is the only
  27. way
  28. we lay anims out (to tape/P.A.R., not just the Flyer). Just tell Lightwave to
  29. use an image sequence as the backdrop, and leave all the other stuff like
  30. antialiasing off. Takes about 10-12 seconds per frame to load them up and
  31. write
  32. them out as a video clip.

  34. Save your original frames! The 3.94 beta software only writes a HAM-8 anim
  35. file, so once the 4.0 software comes out, you'll probably want to lay them
  36. out
  37. again, but in full 24-bit.
